Gaulir is the producer of wood for the rest of Tylwol, along with Hunryr to a lesser extent. This is why Gaulir is considered a Low Region, even though the inhabitants of the region make good money on the trade of wood, everyone who lives on Gaulir are day laborers, being hired and paid by people of other wealthier regions, particularly those such as Golos and Calaun. Most of the trade money in fact goes to these employers, who then pay the laborers a fraction of the money earned, which they then use to purchase necessities of life, meaning most of them will not be able to save up much to move to another region or become wealthy in their own right. Since most of Gaulir is covered in temperate forests, the only cities in Gaulir are Quentin and the appropriately named capitol of Gaulir City, each of which are mainly inhabited by Humans, Half-Orcs, Tieflings, and Oreads. There is also a small collection of Vanaras who live on the outskirts of the cities and survive by hunting wild game in the forests. There is conflict between the loggers in the cities and the Vanaras outside of the city, since one wants to keep their livelihood and the other want to save the forests before it is all gone, which is itself a useless conflict, since the loggers only cut what is ordered and plant new trees where they cut them down.
