Turac is, in contrast to its ally Nabal, an extremely large region with a number of populous cities, many of which feature older architecture not found in many other cities of Tylwol. The amount of older-style architecture not present much elsewhere leads many of the citizens of Turac to have quite pompous feelings toward any newer style cities and leads them to call themselves the oldest people in Tylwol, which is in fact not true. The Yerlay College of Magic is located here in the main city of Relaquin, so many trained magic users find their home there, while the majority of natural magic users find their home in the other large city of Taraquin on the opposite side of the region. Thankfully, the two towns and their leaders, Dean Kerton and Mayor Godwin, do not conflict much outside of common debates in the king’s court about the uses and purposes of magic and so they do not interfere in Turac’s war against Uhlam. Other cities include Eukarion, Djat, and Wilum, along with the King’s Court located in Castle Testan. The region is quite mountainous but between most of the mountains are medium to large sized lakes, the largest being Lake Tonwar, which boarders Taraquin, and is as large as the neighboring region of Nabal. The large number of lakes means that Turac is the largest producer of fish in Tylwol, giving Turac the money it needs to maintain the war with Uhlam and keep the old buildings intact, those which need constant maintenance.
